SUBGENIE

Privacy Policy

Effective September 29, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how SubGenie handles information when an adult coach or other authorized user uses the app.

1. Who SubGenie is for

SubGenie is an individual coaching and rotation-recordkeeping tool. Accounts are for adults who are authorized to manage the roster information they enter.

SubGenie is not directed to children under 13, and children may not create accounts or submit information through the app.

2. Information we collect

Account information: an email address, authentication records, and a provider-issued account identifier.

Roster information: a player display name and, if the account holder chooses, a jersey number.

Game records: attendance for a game, confirmed Active/Sub assignments, game totals, and season rotation totals.

\n

Subscription information: purchase history, subscription status, store transaction information, and the account identifier used to provide Season Access.

Technical information: our infrastructure providers may process IP addresses, request timestamps, browser or device characteristics, and security logs needed to deliver and protect the service.

3. Information we do not request

Do not enter a player email address, phone number, birthdate, age, grade, school, home address, parent information, photo, location, medical or injury information, demographic information, or free-form notes.

SubGenie does not create advertising profiles and does not use player information for advertising.

4. How we use information

We use account information to create and secure the account, verify email ownership, support password recovery, provide essential service messages, and respond to support requests.

We use roster and game records only to build lineups, calculate substitutions, display game and season statistics, maintain the account holder’s private records, and support export or deletion requests.

5. Quick Game

Quick Game does not require an account. Its player names, numbers, attendance, and rotation records remain in local device or browser storage unless the user deliberately registers or signs in and chooses to save the game.

Clearing browser or app data may erase an unsaved Quick Game.

6. Private access and sharing

Saved teams and statistics are private to the signed-in account holder. SubGenie does not offer team sharing, invitations, public roster links, collaborative accounts, player logins, or public statistics pages.

We do not sell personal information. We disclose information only to service providers working for SubGenie, when legally required, to protect the service or its users, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate notice and protections.

7. Service providers

Supabase provides account authentication, database hosting, and related infrastructure. GitHub Pages delivers the web app. Apple processes App Store payments. RevenueCat validates purchases and manages subscription entitlements. These providers may process technical information needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot their services under their own terms and privacy commitments.

SubGenie does not permit these providers to use roster or game information for SubGenie advertising.

8. Device storage and tracking

SubGenie uses device or browser storage for login sessions, app operation, and unsaved Quick Games. It does not use third-party advertising cookies, cross-app tracking, or behavioral advertising analytics.

9. Retention and deletion

Saved information is retained while the account remains active and as needed to provide the service. Account holders can edit roster information, copy a portable JSON export, and permanently delete their account from the Account screen.

When account deletion completes, it removes the account and associated records from the live service. Supabase creates daily database backups for production, and SubGenie uses a rolling seven-day backup window.

Deleted database records may remain in routine backup copies for up to seven days. Backup copies are not available through the app or used for ordinary operations. Apple and RevenueCat may retain transaction records as required for billing, fraud prevention, accounting, or legal compliance. Deleting a SubGenie account does not cancel an App Store subscription.

See Account Deletion for in-app instructions and a web request option.

10. Security

SubGenie uses encrypted network connections, provider-managed security controls, and owner-only database access policies. No system can guarantee absolute security, so account holders should protect their password and device.

11. Your choices

You may correct roster data in the app, export your account data, delete your account, or contact us about access, correction, privacy, or deletion at support@subgenie.app.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when a material change requires it.
